Coaches are always needed for our youth teams. The time
and effort is always appreciated by the players and parents,
not to mention your personal satisfaction when you see the
smiles on the players faces when they 'finally get a drill'
that you have have been teaching them.
Coaches
receive training and are supported throughout the season by
other Coaches in Courtice FC, the Technical Staff for Darlington
Soccer Club and your convenor. No experience is necessary,
we will train you! You do need a willingness to support the
youth of Courtice and the ability to have fun and enjoy watching
the players develop not only soccer and team skills, but also
friendships, that in most cases, last for years.
Remember
your youth, the coaches you had, and the friendships you made
throughout those years, and you are 90% there!
All
new coaches require a Volunteer Police Records Check(PRC).
Returning coaches who have not had a PRC within the last 3 years
must renew it. Please visit a local
Durham Regional Police Service office with 2 pieces of
I.D. - one must have a picture and address and $15.00 CASH
and complete the form (they will accept credit card and debit).
You will receive the results 3-4 weeks later and these must
be presented to the Darlington
Soccer Club. We will arrange to have a representative
at our Coaches meeting in May, to view and sign off on the
check.
Courtice
FC will reimburse the $15.00 fee after the form has
been checked by the Darlington Soccer Club.
